Post Rendering Animation with Multiple Cameras?

Okay, I'm sure I'm missing something very basic here, but for the life of me don't know what it is.
I simply want to render the same Explainer video animated scene using a second camera! NOT trying to switch back and forth between two cameras or anything. I added a second camera to a scene, and select the camera to render, and every time I TRY to render it goes back to render the #1 camera no matter what I do!
I know I could simply re-position the #1 camera to do the same thing, but don't want to mess with the setup as it is - just want to render using #2 camera!
