He has also personally studied animation and visual effects from Veteran Disney animators in Orlando, FL.

Lavalle is widely known in the animation industry as the creator of the website. The website served as inspiration for “The Traditional Animation Show” in which Lavalle was both producer and host.

His partnership with Don Bluth began when he championed the Dragon's Lair Indiegogo campaign as lead project manager, editor, voice actor and in-betweener. The campaign reached $730,000 dollars to produce a 7-minute pitch video. In 2017, Lavalle brought the idea of creating a school to Don Bluth, and Don Bluth University was born. After a decade of learning from Don Bluth and working together on multiple pitches and business ventures, Lavalle accepted the position as Vice President of Don Bluth's new company Don Bluth Studios.

Samurai Jack was one of the greatest 2D shows ever produced for cartoon network. Genndy Tartakovsky and his friends really outdid themselves creating a show full of action, sci-fi fantasy and humor while displaying a unique retro art style too. And to this day I keep a maquette of the noble warrior on my desk for inspiration. I was excited to hear the news and see early concept art for a new season of Samurai Jack coming to adult swim’s toonami programming block. However, seeing Jack more dark along with a possibility of blood shed might worry me. Not to mention who will now fill Mako’s place for the villain Aku. Perhaps I’m just use to seeing spilt oil, robots exploding and laughing demons. That and how today’s viewers show little respect for traditional animation for something cheap and distasteful. Personally, I hope the new season doesn’t become just another gory anime. But something still different and rare that Genndy’s imagination could give. Ounce the new season arrives, I’ll just have to wait and see if Jack remains a strong but humble warrior, or something different.
